Survivors Forum

This is an initiative under Project Alert’s commitment to survivor-centred services. The Survivor’s Forum is convened to provide a safe and empowering platform where survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) could be heard, supported, and strengthened. The forum seeks to amplify the voices of survivors, encourage peer support, and foster resilience through empowerment.

Objectives:

  1. To facilitate access to psychosocial support, counselling, and other recovery services that promote emotional and mental well-being.
  2. To create a safe and inclusive space for survivors to share their stories and experiences without fear or stigma.
  3. To build the confidence and capacity of survivors to speak out, advocate for themselves, and support others.
  4. To connect survivors with relevant support services and empowerment opportunities.
  5. To promote survivor-centered approaches within Project Alert’s service provision and advocacy work.

Through facilitated discussions, counseling sessions, and interactive activities, participants are encouraged to reclaim their confidence and reaffirm their self-worth. Project Alert will continue to sustain the Survivors Forum as a periodic engagement platform, ensuring that survivors voices remain central in the fight against GBV and in shaping policies and interventions that affect them.
