December 1st was World AIDS day. As part of its 16 Days of Activism outreach, the Ifako Ijaiye SGBV Surveillance team made up of 6 men and 6 women sensitized students of Iju Senior Grammar School on the prevalence, forms and impact of sexual violence on young persons; and its link with HIV/AIDS. They were told to be alert, minimise actions that could put them at risks; be peer educators themselves; and report cases when they happen to relevant authorities.
