The project started with Research Methodology & Training Workshops in both states, between 4th – 8th February 2019. The workshops which held for two days in each of the state, sought to discuss and agree on the methodology to be adopted for the research on violence against women with disabilities. Participants included field researchers, state executives of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) and Project Alert partner organisations in both states – Basic Rights Counsel Initiative and Friends of the Needy.
